This generously sized circular piece, with its understated design, features finely drawn Roman numerals and beautiful black handwritten typography on a white background. Made of enameled sheet metal, it testifies to the regional clockmaking expertise of the 19th century and was probably intended for a grandfather clock or a large-format clock.
