Antique oval-shaped engraved brasssign bearing the inscription " Kitchen " in black cursive lettering. The brass is incised with a double decorative line and pierced with two lateral holes for mounting. This type of plaque was used to indicate the purpose of a room in period homes or bourgeois establishments, generally during the first half of the 20th century.
