An elegant typographic plate from the series of monograms and ornamental letters engraved by Charles Demengeot, a Parisian engraver and ornamentalist renowned for the finesse of his compositions. This plate, printed on laid paper with the watermark of the "Association des Arts Industriels," features a superb central composition, "Louis," surrounded by crowned and floral variants in the Neo-Renaissance style. A work of art with the burin, where each letter becomes a miniature sculpture. A contemporary copy, bearing the publisher's blind stamp.
