A rare fairground lottery game entitled "To Know the Truth – Question the Fakir," typical of popular post-war amusement sales. Each colored disc conceals a number corresponding to a small prize or bonus: the player tears off their disc, reveals their number, and pays the associated price indicated at the bottom of the table (from 0.30 to 1.00 francs). This game was used by street vendors, fairground operators, or grocers to liven up sales and attract customers. The design evokes the Orientalist imagination of the 1940s and 50s, with the head of a turbaned fakir printed in black and a bold typographic title. A fine example of fairground art and popular culture of the period, complete and in very good overall condition.
