Vintage amber glass pharmaceutical bottle from Établissements Poulenc Frères, with its original paper label for "Sodium Methylarsinate". Beautiful illustrated label with exhibition medals (Paris 1878, 1889, 1900, London, Vienna...), trademark of Poulenc Frères chemical products in Paris.

Sodium methylarsinate (an organo-arsenic compound) was listed in the 1908 Codex and was used in certain medical preparations in the early 20th century. The label bears the mention "Dangerous" as well as the preserved upper guarantee stamp, characteristic of regulated pharmaceutical packaging of that period.
