An antique pharmaceutical bottle made of deep blue glass, intended for toxic substances, identifiable by the explicit word "POISON" and its contents indicated as "Belladonna Extract." This type of bottle was reserved for dangerous preparations, kept separate and immediately recognizable in the pharmacy. The shape is intentionally simple and stable, with a slightly shouldered cylindrical body and a short neck with a thick lip, typical of pharmacy bottles from the late 19th and very early 20th centuries. The cobalt blue glass, used to protect light-sensitive substances, reinforces the regulatory and medical nature of the object. The original paper labels, printed and handwritten, mention the Pharmacie Centrale Y. Laurent, a first-class pharmacist in Sainte-Menehould, as well as the phrase "For external use only." An authentic piece, preserved in its original, used condition.
