White glass pharmacy bottle with an old label from Darrasse Frères establishments, bearing the inscription "Codex 1884", a direct reference to the French pharmaceutical codex from the late 19th century. This type of marking indicates a preparation conforming to the official formulas in force at that time. The main label, now heavily altered, still shows the manufacturer's name and its Parisian location. Thick internal deposits and traces of oxidation give the whole a very marked patina, typical of bottles actually used in laboratories or pharmacies.

✦ Provenance: France, Darrasse Frères, Paris
✦ Estimated period: Circa 1885-1910 (Codex 1884 reference)
✦ Dimensions: approximately 13 x 4 cm
✦ Material: glass, paper label
✦ Condition: pronounced used condition, heavily altered and partially illegible labels, significant internal deposits, old traces and generalized fouling

A bottle steeped in history, ideal for an authentic display in an old pharmacy or a scientific cabinet of curiosities.
