An elegant 19th-century pharmaceutical case , covered in embossed black imitation leather, with a button closure and lined with red moiré satin. The lid bears the gilt stamp " Pharmacie Homéopathique Spéciale Cattelan à Paris – 15, rue du Helder," an iconic Parisian address documented between 1860 and 1890 for its homeopathic specialties. The case still contains 83 glass tubes , sealed with turned wooden stoppers, each identified by an inscription on the stopper (Rhus tox., Thuya, Nux vom., etc.) with dilutions of 18, 30, or 81. The lid also retains its original homeopathic spatula in its fabric compartment. A complete set, rare in this condition, and a direct testament to the alternative medical practices of the late 19th century.
