Superb Antique door plates in patinated brass or bronze, with beaded decoration and the word "LOUÉ" (RENT) painted in black. Each plaque bears a different number (61, 105, 129, 150, 257) and the maker's mark "Drosse Paris." These plaques were used in 19th-century hotels to indicate rooms for rent, the numbers corresponding to apartments. In excellent condition, with a uniform patina and charming signs of wear. Sold individually.
