An antique circular dexterity game featuring an anthropomorphic owl reading a book, wearing a coat and a decorative cap. The aim is to guide five small metal balls into the cavities on the owl's cap. These miniature dexterity games were very popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, often produced in Germany for export. The marking DRGM (Deutsches Reichsgebrauchsmuster - German Imperial Design) along with the number 180088 indicates a model registered in the German Empire, confirming its early manufacture at the turn of the 20th century.
