A superb 19th-century English pen nibs box in repoussé brass, finely decorated with floral motifs and royal coats of arms. This "book-shaped" model is one of the most iconic of the D. Leonardt & Co. brand, manufactured in Birmingham. The inscription "Universal Pen" and the model number are embossed on both sides. The interior compartment, also decorated, is intact, as is the side compartment for a demonstration nib (original nib included). A valuable piece for any collector of writing instruments.
