A rare original lithographic stone used for printing food advertising labels in the 1930s. The design parodies a Burgundy wine label, bearing the inscription "La Bouteille du Dimanche – des Grands Chais de Dijon," for boxes of vanilla wafers with cocoa or coffee. The entire piece is adorned with humorously inspired medallions (imaginary medals), featuring elegant black typography and a pastiche style. The thick limestone, weighing nearly 4 kg, is perfectly legible, with its inscription mirrored and its finely engraved decoration. Two photos have been reversed to facilitate reading the inscriptions.
