Rare work dedicated to Tantrism and Hindu ritual magic, published in Paris in 1939 in the "Asie" collection by Librairie Véga. This is the first French translation of the Yantra Chintāmani ("The Jewel of Yantras"), a text attributed to Dāmodara, accompanied and preceded by a study on Tantrism by Jean Marquès-Rivière. The BnF confirms this original 1939 French edition as a 187-page volume. The book features numerous yantras, ritual diagrams, and tantric formulas, with several particularly graphic compositions printed in red, as well as a depiction of Shiva. The drawings were created by Marcel Nicaud. An antique work of particular interest for a collection dedicated to esotericism, occult sciences, symbolism, and the spiritual traditions of India.
