A rare mechanical perpetual wall calendar with rollers , dating from between 1888 and 1899. This ingenious object consists of a wooden box covered in embossed black paper, with a windowed front to display the day, date, month, and year. Inside, multiple wooden rollers, operated by brass-headed nails, allow printed cloth strips to be manually unrolled, indicating each possible combination. The system, both robust and precise, testifies to meticulous craftsmanship, likely intended for professional use: school, notary's office, administration, or workshop. Beautiful black capital lettering on a cream background.
