A pair of small Menier advertising tins, made of lithographed cardboard, reproducing the original packaging of the famous French chocolate. The first model, Cacao Sucré Solubilisée (Solubilized Sweet Cocoa ), depicts a Dutch scene with a windmill; the second, Chocolat en Poudre Menier (Menier Powdered Chocolate ), features a modernist blue design typical of the post-war period. These miniatures were used as sales samples or, more likely, as accessories for play grocery sets , often sold in shopkeeper sets from the 1950s and 60s.
