A small American pocket-sized box of "Certified Brand" aspirin, complete with its 12 white tablets. The red and cream lithographed lid features typography typical of the late 1930s and a push-to-open mechanism indicated by the phrase "Press both red dots." This type of small pharmaceutical box was sold in drugstores as a convenient carry-on. The date "© 1939" printed on the lid allows for precise dating.
