Elegant decorative Art Nouveau style monogram forming the intertwined letters "A" and "M", entirely openwork in a sinuous vegetal decor typical of the Belle Époque. The design combines whiplash lines, stylized foliage and ribbed lettering in a spirit very close to the ironwork and decorative furniture ornaments of the years 1895-1910. The presence of six fixing points on the reverse indicates a probable use applied to a piece of furniture, a panel, a door, a chest or a decorative architectural element. The original burnished patina and traces of wear give it a very beautiful decorative presence.
