A large lithographed advertising card for the famous Gauloises Creams, featuring a proud tricolor rooster perched on a bundle of straw overlooking stacked tins of shoe polish. Signed in the lower left corner by the renowned artist Montaut, it was printed by Ch. Wall & Cie in Paris (rue Lafayette), confirming its high-quality French production. The meticulous graphic design, the still-vibrant colors, and the pastoral scene make it as decorative as it is charming, emblematic of late 19th-century advertising.
