A superb advertising booklet for "Mélia" cigarettes and cigars, a French brand based in Algiers. The modernist design features a stylized ashtray and a smoking cigarette against a red, blue, and gold background, typical of Art Deco design. Inside, there are mentions of the awards received at major international exhibitions (Paris 1900, Brussels 1910, Marseille 1922, Paris 1931) and a presentation of "Tobacco Mélia," described as refined, smooth, and aromatic, specially prepared for colonial consumers. A beautiful advertising item from the 1930s, emblematic of French overseas marketing.
