A fine example of a lithographed tinplate countertop spinning top depicting a raised hand with the humorous inscription "You who offer a Junod," a direct allusion to the liqueurs produced by A. Junod , a distiller in Pontarlier, known for his anise-flavored aperitifs after the ban on absinthe. The small object served as a promotional item on the counters of cafes or grocery stores: the top rotated thanks to a central axis. Printed by CF Lyon.
