Rare educational model of the human eye published by the renowned Dossray & Patesson publishers in Brussels. Made of papier-mâché or Made of hand-painted plaster paste, wood, and glass, this collapsible model presents a complete cross-section of the eyeball, including the lens, iris, pupil, optic nerves, and detailed internal structures. Each element is carefully painted, and the crackled patina lends it a highly expressive visual charm. It rests on a black wooden base, still bearing its original plaque. Several parts are removable, including the domed glass cornea, the painted iris, and the eyeball's shell. A superb example of educational material for optics and anatomy.
