Produced by Francopia , a pharmaceutical company founded in Paris at the beginning of the 20th century, this bottle contained morphine hydrochloride—a powerful opioid analgesic reserved for strict medical use. The inscription "POISON" and the double mention of Francopia / Cooper Paris attest to an official distribution channel between the laboratory and the hospital pharmacy.
