Translucent glass pharmaceutical bottle, original cork stopper, double period label: one printed and handwritten "Darrasse Frères & Landrin Succrs – Sulfate de Morphine – 21 rue Simon-le-Franc, Paris – Usine à Vincennes" , and the other smaller one on the reverse indicating "Sulfate Morphine" . ✦ Origin: France, Paris
✦ Estimated period: Early 20th century
✦ Dimensions: 8.5×4cm
✦ Material: Clear glass, printed paper labels, cork stopper
✦ Condition: Very good overall condition, labels legible and consistent, slight signs of use, original cork slightly worn

This type of bottle was part of the controlled pharmacopoeia of major Parisian pharmaceutical companies. The word “TOXIC” and the Vincennes address attest to early production by the successors Darrasse & Landrin, heirs of Faure & Darrasse, then a leading name in French pharmaceutical chemistry. An iconic collector's item from the early days of industrial morphine.
