Antique box "Crampon Stamp" - Blanzy-Poure

Antique box "Crampon Stamp" - Blanzy-Poure

0,00 € Déjà adopté

A superb box from the Blanzy-Poure & Cie company, containing " clamp" seals used to hermetically seal envelopes or confidential documents. The illustration shows a seal screwed through a metal clip, accompanied by the inscription: "Rendering envelopes absolutely tamper-proof." The colorful label elegantly combines 19th-century typography, vermilion red, and metallic details, and is signed "Factory in Boulogne-sur-Mer – Auction House in Paris." Inside are approximately fifty enameled metal clamps with their prongs. A rare and highly graphic object, typical of confidential correspondence supplies from the Belle Époque.
