An old ritual object in solid bronze representing a vajra (or dorje ), the Buddhist symbol of lightning and diamond. Composed of five points on each side, with a typical spherical central knot, this vajra evokes indestructibility, spiritual power, and enlightenment. Used in Tibetan Tantric Buddhist practices, it is often wielded in conjunction with a bell ( ghanta ). The patina and natural wear of the bronze suggest old handcrafted production.
