Rare vintage advertising sign for Maggi condiment bottles, engraved directly onto a natural wood panel. The scene shows an elegant hand pouring the famous extract into a plate, accompanied by the text:
"To enhance soups, enrich sauces, etc. – In bottles of 15c, 50c, 90c, 1.50f, 2.50f, 4.50f & 8f." The image and text are produced by letterpress wood engraving , an old technique that leaves a slight indentation in the printed lines, revealing a handcrafted production typical of the 1900s–1920s. The black ink is applied directly to the wood, without a paper backing. It likely came from an old shipping crate.
