A rare board game titled La Mare aux Grenouilles (The Frog Pond ), published by JFJ Paris , presented in a large illustrated cardboard box. The cover scene ( signed) Mauclair Dacier (1893-1904) depicts a joyful procession of frogs dressed in human clothing, playing music by the water's edge, under the watchful eye of a heron. Inside, the printed box shows a bucolic pond into which players must launch the frogs using small black sticks. The aim is to skillfully propel these painted fabric amphibians into the water. Includes period printed rules, 7 original painted fabric frogs, and 7 blackened wooden sticks.
