An elegant pen nibs box bearing the British royal coat of arms, produced by V. Saglier, successor to the renowned manufacturer J. Perry & Cie. Its soft green lid, embellished with red and gold, bears the motto "Dieu et mon droit" (God and my right), the emblem of the United Kingdom, and testifies to the refinement of writing supplies at the end of the 19th century. The case is empty but perfectly representative of the quality of English writing instruments exported to France at that time.
