A religious frame under glass, containing a delicate work of gilded paper filigree forming a sacred architectural scene around a central emblem of the Sacred Heart. The piece depicts a miniature oratory, with small columns, scrolls, garlands, and scrolled inscriptions bearing the names of several saints: St. Aurelian, St. Francis de Sales, St. Alacoque, and others. These paper fragments are embellished with gold sequins and filigree beads. The frame is adorned with a gold textile braid set against a black background, with a cardboard reverse in the shape of an arch. It is likely a devotional object handcrafted in a convent or boarding school during the 19th century.
