A lovely period box from the late 19th to early 20th century, adorned with a typical Belle Époque red and gold label featuring a floral and typographic design with ribbon detailing. It still contains several sticks of fine red sealing wax, size 4 , some marked "Cire Méthine – Paris." This wax was used to seal letters, documents, or official stamps with a heated metal seal.
