Antique humorous sign printed on wood, intended for popular cafes and taverns in the mid-20th century. The ironic message is aimed at distracted drinkers:
"Have you noticed that it's only when they're paying for their drink that some people realize they're no longer thirsty!"
The print is done using direct screen printing on a wooden panel , a technique then common for bar signs, instruction signs, or humorous displays. The black and red Gothic style, with blue underlines, evokes the quirky and striking aesthetic of old-fashioned bar counters.
