A rare antique tray/drawer from a watchmaker's cabinet, complete with its forty-eight numbered glass tubes, each sealed with its original cork stopper. Most still contain their watchmaking rubies, used for pivoting the axes in mechanical watch movements. The hand-painted red numbers and perfectly ordered rows attest to the care and precision of the watchmaking craft. A beautiful technical and decorative object, emblematic of early 20th-century Swiss and French workshops.
