This handwritten parchment is distinguished by its large black fiscal stamp "Lorraine et Barrois," featuring crowned coats of arms framed by two eagles. A large ornate initial opens the text, which is written in a fine brown ink and accompanied by a signature with an interlaced paraph. Dated 1738, this deed concerns the sale of assets from an estate to a stonemason residing in Plombières; a summary note appears on the reverse. Its elongated format, the nuances of its skin, and the contrast of the stamp give it a fine presence, appreciable for enthusiasts of antique documents and heraldic ornaments.
