Antique Sinceny faience archer’s pitcher, featuring a large number 5 and the inscription "Sinceny" in cursive script on the front. Two blue lines frame its cylindrical body, complemented by black/brown accents arranged in rows on the sides and repeated on the handle. Its small spout recalls the utilitarian purpose of these tavern jugs, traditionally known as "pots d’archer." Associated with the convivial atmosphere of local bistros and festivities, they are charming relics of 19th-century folk life. With its clearly legible inscription and signs of use, this small pitcher retains all the character of an object with a festive past, to be displayed alone or as part of a collection of numbered ceramics.
