"Signage arrangement" letter sheet

Chromolithographic plate from the Lettering Album by N. Glaise, painter, featuring a design for a sign reading “Wood, marble, lettering, ornaments, lining.” Its highly elaborate decor combines painted lettering, scrolls, arabesques, and faux marble wood effects. Published in Dourdan by E. Thézard fils and printed by Varlet Lith. and Engelmann in Paris, it likely dates from the late 19th century or around 1900.
