Fine set of three alphabet plates with rigorous construction, bringing together a Roman script, a lapidary model with shaded outlines, and a composition of small alphabets on a grid. The particularly crisp black and ochre designs make this a beautiful document for a graphic designer, calligrapher, sign painter, or enthusiast of vintage typography. They come from the Schriften-Schatz, a collection of alphabet and lettering models published around 1890 in Ravensburg by Otto Maier, under the direction of Albert Schiller.
