"Quina Gris" enamel pharmacy sign

Former enameled sheet metal pharmacy sign bearing the inscription "QUINA GRIS," referring to grey cinchona, a bark used in apothecary preparations. Its large black serif letters stand out against a white background, surrounded by a thin line and a black border following the cut-out contours of the plate. Its two perforated ends allowed for its attachment. An elegantly designed piece, evocative of old pharmacy and herbalist furniture.
