Rare enamel instruction plaque intended for building or establishment staff in coal-heated buildings. The arrow indicates the location of the fuel to be used to feed the boiler located in the basement. This type of internal signage was commonly installed in hotels, apartment buildings, administrations, or public establishments during the first half of the 20th century. The plaque is signed Mégras, a French manufacturer specialized in enameled signage.
