Old white enamel plate with a black border, numbered "N° 1" and bearing the inscription "Boiler feed", followed by the instruction "Note: No connection should ever be made to this pipe". It has two side fixing holes and the marking "Piollet-Marie & Leguerrier", accompanied by a partially preserved Parisian address. Its combination of large capitals and italic characters gives it a beautiful utilitarian design, to be humorously diverted near a coffee machine or in a kitchen.
