Small enameled door plate intended to indicate which doorbell to use outside opening hours. These plates were affixed near the entrances of shops, hotels, pharmacies, or townhouses to distinguish the daytime doorbell from the one reserved for night calls. Its compact format and traditional typography make it a characteristic example of French commercial signage from the first half of the 20th century.
