Enamelled heart-shaped plaque - approx. 22cm

Old heart-shaped enamel funerary plaque, dedicated to Virginie, born May 18, 1854, and deceased January 14, 1937. The black inscriptions on a white background blend several typefaces, framed by the words "Here lies" and "Pray for her," with a small black flame near the tip. Its rusty brown patina largely outlines the heart and contrasts with the light center, giving this piece a beautiful graphic presence. It retains its three mounting holes.
