Antique glazed porcelain reaction plate for chemical or pharmaceutical analysis. This type of multiwell plate was used in laboratories to test very small quantities of reagents, observe colorimetric reactions, or prepare micro-dosages. The numerous circular wells allowed for several tests to be carried out simultaneously, while the two square compartments were used for specific mixtures or applications. Made of chemical-resistant glazed porcelain, it is typical of standard scientific equipment from the mid-20th century. These plates were found in chemistry laboratories, science schools, and pharmacies. (Sold individually)
