Stunning antique ornament in glazed white porcelain depicting the intertwined hands of a man and a woman, extended by their sleeves with delicately modeled cuffs. This type of symbolic object representing a gesture of union and/or friendship was particularly popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in bourgeois interiors, or as a commemorative or funerary decoration. Its whiteness and neoclassical aesthetic give it a very elegant sculptural presence.
