Vintage Grey-Poupon mustard pot in fine earthenware by Digoin & Sarreguemines, in size L, with a rounded neck. Its black printed decoration features the coat of arms of Dijon surmounted by a mural crown, surrounded by bunches of grapes, vine leaves, and banners evoking the house's awards and its founding in 1777. The neck bears the inscriptions "Paris 1900", "Hors concours" and "Membre du jury". On the back, the inscription "Exiger la capsule" surmounts a large illustration of the capsule with a guilloché base, bearing the words "Moutarde", "Dijon" and "Grey-Poupon", allowing the buyer to recognize the house's product. The crowned mark of Digoin & Sarreguemines is clearly visible under the base. A beautiful piece of vintage grocery ware, with a detailed decoration and particularly legible inscriptions.
