Elegant advertising jar for barbers and perfumery, produced by the prestigious house of Roger & Gallet. Made of white ceramic with a rich olive green neo-rococo decoration, it contained a shaving soap cream. The lid bears the monogram RG while the bottom still retains its original label indicating: "The slightly browned coloration of this cream is produced by the violet fragrance." This presence of the original label is a detail rarely preserved. This model belongs to the first luxury toiletry containers marketed by Roger & Gallet at the end of the 19th century.
