Large wooden trading tin covered with its original printed labels for the JB Guimet company, inventor of artificial ultramarine in 1826. The lid features a dense and informative typographic composition recounting the awards Guimet received at international exhibitions, with the inscription "Marked & Perfumed Cylinders." Inside, there is an original cylindrical sachet of blue printed paper, used for packaging the perfumed cylinders. A rare set due to its size, design, and excellent evocative power to illustrate the industrial and commercial uses of pigments and ultramarine derivatives at the end of the 19th century.
