Antique lithographed cardboard confectionery box from Delespaul-Havez, a renowned Lille chocolate maker founded in the 19th century and famous for creating the Carambar candy in the 20th century. The lid features a rich typographic design with the inscription "Bonbons Chocolat" (Chocolate Candies) and the numerous medals awarded for the quality of their products. In the center is an ornamental cartouche with the inscriptions "Chocolat Delespaul-Havez à Lille" (Delespaul-Havez Chocolate in Lille) and "Maison de vente Rue Nationale" (Auction House Rue Nationale), surrounded by an engraved design typical of late 19th-century food advertising. Printed in black on a beige background with an ornamental border, the entire box perfectly illustrates the commercial aesthetic of the Belle Époque. This large-format box, intended for retail sale, is now sought after by collectors of antique advertising, chocolate memorabilia, or lithographed boxes.
