A rare antique lithographed tin food and pharmaceutical tin for " Bouillie des Jumeaux" (Twins' Porridge ), a granulated preparation for infant feeding. The Art Nouveau design, in an olive green and cream palette, depicts two infants sharing a meal, an iconography typical of infant nutrition at the turn of the 20th century. The sides feature a rich stylized floral motif and a lengthy instruction text detailing preparation, dosage, and gradual introduction according to the child's age. The base retains a red guarantee stamp with a cross, reinforcing the product's medical and hygienic aspects. This tin perfectly illustrates the history of infant nutrition and dietary products before modern regulations.
