Rare box of "John Mitchell's - No. 056" nibs

0,00 € Déjà adopté

Rare antique box of John Mitchell’s metallic nibs, still containing about 70 original No. 056 nibs, remarkable for their spectacular shape with a large circular reservoir. Manufactured in Birmingham, the world capital of metallic nibs in the 19th century, these technical nibs were designed to hold a large amount of ink and produce smooth, consistent writing. The red, black and white striped decoration of the box contrasts with the brand’s more classic floral motifs and gives the whole a particularly strong graphic presence. A choice piece for lovers of ancient calligraphy, writing instruments or industrial objects related to graphic arts.
