A rare lithographed tin pharmaceutical advertising box for the drug "Lysiode," illustrated with anatomical diagrams detailing the circulatory, pulmonary, and cutaneous conditions it treated. Both sides present a medical discourse typical of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, blending visual instruction with therapeutic arguments. The mention of Dr. Brunerye, a physician and pharmacist in Paris, as well as the registration with the National Drug Control Laboratory, clearly situates this object within the context of the regulated pharmacopoeia of the Belle Époque. The box is empty, originally intended to hold tablets for internal use.

✦ Origin: France, Paris
✦ Estimated period: Early 20th century
✦ Dimensions: Approx. 9 x 6 x 1 cm
✦ Material: Lithographed sheet metal
✦ Condition: Consistent with age, surface wear, oxidation and rubbing visible, lithography clearly legible

An iconic antique pharmaceutical item from the illustrated medical advertising of the Belle Époque, ideal for an antique pharmacopoeia collection, a cabinet of curiosities or an apothecary setting.
